Obituary
Eugene (Doc) Henderson Wilson was born July 18, 1935 to Harlan R. Wilson and Opal Lucille Henderson Wilson in Oklahoma City, OK. He entered into rest July 29, 2012.
Eugene attended Harrah High School in Oklahoma where he excelled in basketball, football and track. He then attended Oklahoma University in Norman, OK for two years. After college Eugene entered the USAF and attended pilot training at Randolf Air Force Base in Texas. He served in the Air Force fro 1956 to 1963. Eugene met his wife Georgia Ann Hall, a nurse who was also in the Air Force. They married in 1961.
Eugene worked as an editor for an Oklahoma magazine for many years and in 1965 moved his family to Southern California. There he worked as a technical writer and later worked in the auto industry.
Eugene was blessed with a beautiful voice and he loved all the old songs. He loved to play his guitar and sing with his family and friends. Eugene always had a ready smile, a great joke to tell and he made friends everywhere he went.
Eugene loved sports of every kind, but especially Oklahoma Sooners football.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Eugene is survived by his children Kelly Stanton (Marvin) of Crescent City; Kerri Schafer (Wayne) of Orcutt, CA and David Wilson of Davis, CA. Six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Sister Jaimie Kindt of Arkansas.
Eugene will sincerely be missed by his family and his many friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 4th from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Wiers Mortuary Chapel.
