Obituary

Estacada resident, Eric Petersen, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 15, 2021. He was 61 years old. A celebration of his life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Estacada First Baptist Church in Estacada. Eric Lars Petersen was born August 21, 1959 to Malcom and Mary Petersen. He was raised in Portland and went to MLK and Creston Grade Schools and Franklin High School. He worked several jobs mainly in the restaurant field. He worked for Marriott for many years and also worked for Harvest Homes and Grace Place retirement homes where he was a chef. He retired due to illness. On October 3, 2020, he had a life changing accident and succumbed to his injuries. Eric enjoyed the outdoors, Alaska, fishing, camping, frisbee golf, racing, foosball and loved his family dog Clydie. Survivors include his sons, Nicholas Trif-Petersen, Cory Trif; sister, Lynn Petersen; father Malcom (Betty) Petersen; and grandson, Allen Hill. He was preceded in death by his mother; sister, Lori Grover and grandparents.
