Obituary

Long time Welches resident, Liz LaBlue, passed away January 24, 2021 in Happy Valley. She was 88.

Liz was born March 20, 1932 to Wess and Cora (Mayer) Hunter in Charter Oak, Missouri. In 1945 the family moved to Tulare California and went on to graduate from Tulare High in 1950. After school Liz met and married Virgil LaBlue.

In 1964 Liz and Virgil parted ways and she moved up to Welches, Oregon. She worked at Bowman’s Mt. Hood Golf for seventeen years. Liz also worked at Barlow Trail Inn, Salazars and The Log Lodge.

Liz was a member of the Prime Timers Dining Club and the Eagles Club of Gresham. She loved to take time with friends and seldom missed a chance to dance. She will be missed by her many friends.

Liz was preceded in death by her two sons, three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her grandsons and one sister.
