Obituary
Surrounded by her family, Phylis Elaine Seals, 86, passed away at home Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Elaine was born and raised on her parents’ farm in Gaston, Indiana and lived all but one year of her life in the Muncie area. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Elaine loved Jesus and was active in the Gaston Main Street Church. She was a prayer warrior for her family, church, community and country. She was a 60+ year member of Country Friends with the Delaware County Extension Homemakers Association and enjoyed many long-lasting friendships through the years. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Herbert A Seals, Jr., her parents, Paul & Naomi Collins and three siblings, Jeanette (George) Ward, Margree (Ron) Rinker and Eddie (Dottie) Collins. She is survived by two brothers; Norman (Trudy) Collins, Ray (Jeanene) Collins and four children; Theresa (David) Bohm, Orlando, FL; Michael Seals, New York, NY; Norman (Sherri) Seals, Jacksonville, FL and Ken (Melissa) Seals, Gaston, IN. She had six grandchildren; Nathaniel (Kandace) Seals, Elisabeth (Tyler) Storie, Abigail Seals, Philip Seals, Kyle Bohm and Nathaniel Bohm and three great grandchildren, Jocelyn & Logan Storie and Alice Seals.
Calling hours for Elaine are Monday, April 29, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Garden View Funeral Home. Her service will begin at 12:00 PM with Pastors John Long & Bill Bruneau officiating. The burial will take place at Thompson Cemetery, 13460 North Co Road 750 West
Gaston, IN 47342.
