Obituary

Edward R. Larkin Jr. passed away peacefully on March 23, 2024, just short of his 93rd birthday. He was born on March 31, 1931, the son of Edward R. Larkin Sr. and Sadie M. Larkin (Story) of Madison, Wisconsin.

Ed graduated from high school in Columbus, Wisconsin in 1950 served in the United States Navy for four years and worked at Oscar Mayer in Madison for 37 years. He moved to Florida in 1988 after his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Larkin (formerly Wolfer); brother, James Larkin; Daughters, Sadie Larkin, Lorraine (Jeff) Puth; son, Bruce Larkin; stepdaughter, Lynette (John) Taylor; stepson, Scott (Jane) Ashwell; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ermalinda Larkin (Neglia); daughter, Debra Viedma; son, Mark Larkin; granddaughter, Rebecca Viedma.

Throughout his life, Ed enjoyed playing and watching sports, fishing, gardening, working in the yard, and playing cards with family and friends.
