Obituary

Edward Wilson Baxter was born on September 23, 1937 to Jean & Samuel Baxter. He passed away on October 23, 2012 in Crescent City. Ed graduated from Anitoch High School and went into the U.S. Navy where he served a short term and received an honorable discharge due to a bad back from childhood.

Leaving the service Ed went into retail management having worked at Hilson in both Antioch and Concord. After leaving Hilson, he went to work for Kauffmans and later at the Mens Warehouse.

Ed spent most of his life in San Francisco, which he loved. He was a very sports loving person, his love of the SF Giants and the SF 49'ers was very important to him. Ed also enjoyed reading Herb Caen every morning.

In 2001 after open heart surgery, Ed moved to Crescent City to live and help take of his mother. He became an active member of the First Baptist Church.

Ed is survived by his sisters Mrs. Kathleen Pieretti of Carson City, NV and Mrs. Marilynn Ladendorff of Crescent City.
