Memories & Tributes

We met Edith Kishpaugh through the Dodge Community Church back in 1952 and have kept in contact with her. She was a blessing to family and friends. Sunday was the day she honored the Lord making sure her children were in Sunday School. She was an encourager. Now we find comfort in Psalm 30:5 "Weeping may endure for a night, Joy cometh in the morning." Her joy now is seeing her Savior face to face. Our prayers and love to the family. To say Edith was an amazing woman is true but she was so much more. Edith became friends with my mom through their sons, Danny and Earl. Our family was new and mom didn't drive so she didn't have many close by friends. Those were the days of long distance phone calls and party lines. Our families became close. We fished, hunted, camped and ate together often. Edith taught my mom and me how to sew and can food. She made cowboy shirts that amazed me and the meals she cooked were delicious. My brothers and I attended the Dodge Church with Doreen, Dennis, Darrel and Danny. We would walk over to Edith and Calvin's house afterwards. They had a huge dining table that always had room. Edith would cook up a bountiful dinner to feed everyone. She had a beautiful yodel to call everyone in to eat. No matter where we were on their farm our heads would perk up when we heard her. Edith was a professional seamstress and held various other jobs. Retirement didn't seem to slow her down at all. It just gave her more time to do more things. My favorite memories are ones with the Kishpaugh family. It felt like they were my family too. Our thoughts and prayers are with you guys. Love Bev (Bollenbaugh) Skoog and Dan Skoog. Bev Skoog
