Donna Kohl

Obituary

Born March 12, 1947, in Sunbury, she was a daughter of the late Carl R. and Mildred I. (Martin) Hommel. On December 6, 1969, she married Oliver J. "Jim" Kohl with whom she has shared a devoted union of 54 years.
Donna had worked as a Medical Transcriptionist at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center for 26 years until her retirement. She was a member of Chambers Hill United Methodist Church and was involved in the Choir as well as the "Church Has Left the Building" group. A member of the Hummelstown Women's Club, she also enjoyed crocheting and working in her flower gardens. Donna was a volunteer with the NutriPacks program – ensuring that students in the Central Dauphin School District received nutritious meals and snacks during the school year.
In addition to her husband, Donna is survived by her daughters, Traciene (Dan) McCourt, Amy Kohl and Lori (David) Martinez-Kohl; and granddaughters, Josalyne (Matt) Orsini and Mara Martinez-Kohl. She is also survived by her sisters, Kay Gearhart, Judy (Gary) Maust and Lona (Edward) Cole.

Donations

Memorial contributions toward breast cancer awareness should be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
