In Loving Memory of

Davy Gene Dowd

October 23rd, 1967 - August 29th, 2021

Obituary

Davy Gene Dowd was born October 23, 1967, to Frank and Venola Dowd. He was a member of the Resighini Rancheria
in Klamath, California, and grew up 20 miles to the north in Crescent City, California. He was the youngest of seven
children. Davy grew up in a big tight knit family and enjoyed spending time with them. Although he did not have any
children of his own he was an uncle to a great number of nieces and nephews, whom all loved him. He had a close
bond with them all and was the favorite uncle to many. Davy was always known to have a good sense of humor and
always made you laugh. His smile was contagious and he was rarely in a bad mood. He could always find the humor
in pretty much anything and had a good energy he brought with him wherever he went. Over the years he had many
close friends and was often found lending someone a helping hand. Whether it was driving his sisters to and from
bingo, giving someone a ride, or running to the store for something he would always be willing to drop what he was
doing if someone asked him to. Davy enjoyed gambling at the casino, playing horseshoes, riding his bike, driving
around listening to classic rock and roll, and dancing. He also enjoyed doing anything outside like washing his car, or
anyone’s car, gathering seaweed, as well as grinding and cracking acorns. Davy Gene was a free spirit and he lived
his life to the fullest. He was Baby Davy, Mama’s boy, expecting to always be spoiled and remained young at heart never losing his inner child.

Tammy was at Davy’s side and got to love on him and held him until his very last breath of life on this earth, as sadly
