David Allen Waggoner

Obituary

Mr. David Allen Waggoner, Indianapolis, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, February 14, 2024. He was 83. Dave was born August 25, 1940 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son of the late William Thomas and Bertha Fay (Ruble) Waggoner.
Dave attended George Washington High School and was co-owner, along with his brother, of Waggoner Masonry and retired in 2004 after 30 years of service as a brick mason.
Dave enjoyed playing golf and bowling and at one time was manager of the former Westside Lanes. He also enjoyed football and baseball and his favorite teams were the Washington Commanders, Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco 49’ers and the San Diego Padres. He liked being outside and loved taking care of his lawn. He loved his family deeply and cherished the time he could spend with them.
Dave is survived by his wife, Judy Waggoner whom he married February 22, 1971; his son, Jason Waggoner; his siblings, Steve Waggoner and Judy Starnes as well as his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his brother, Tom Waggoner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with Mike Gordon officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
