Obituary

Longtime Colton resident, David Christenson, died at his home on Friday, July 24, 2020. He was 58. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. David Alan Christenson was born March 22, 1962 in Portland, Oregon to Oscar and Gloria (Gosso) Christenson. The made their home in Colton where he graduated from high school. After high school, went into the US Navy on April 27, 1981. He was honorably discharged October 20, 1984. On May 31, 1986 David married Gayle Hoeltke in Molalla, Oregon. They made their home in Colton and moved to Mulino 2 years ago. He worked in the logging industry for many years before going to college to learn to be a machinist. He worked as a machinist and in construction until about 10 years ago when he became Gayle’s caregiver. He enjoyed fishing and being in the outdoors. Survivors include his wife, Gayle Christenson; son, Garrett Christenson; brother Pete Vaughan; sister, Kim Vaughan; granddaughter, Zoey Webster and several nieces and nephews.
