Obituary
Estacada resident, Dan Larson, died on Thursday, February 27, 2025. He was 64 years old.
A celebration of his life will be held at Pleasant Home Community Church (32120 SE Dodge Park Blvd, Gresham) on Saturday, March 22nd at 2 pm.
Daniel Roy Larson was born September 10, 1960, in Gresham, Oregon, to Edward and Norene (Gurley) Larson. He was raised in Estacada, where he attended Estacada High School. Dan married Jeanette Newberry in Clackamas County, Oregon, on July 8, 1978. They made their home in Estacada, where they raised their three daughters. They later divorced after 45 years of marriage. He worked in the construction industry from the age of 17 until a couple of years ago when he was forced to step away due to a heart condition.
Dan enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being in the outdoors. He was very talented at welding metal art and woodworking; he was a master tinkerer. He was at his happiest when he was with his daughters and grandkids.
Survivors include his daughters, Jennifer Castile, Kaylene (Mike) Johnston, Lisa (Dusty) Long; brother, Ed Larson; sisters, Dee Conrad, Linda Crape, Sue Olivetti, Christy Larson, Leann Rich. He was preceded in death by his brother Michael, and his parents.
