Obituary

Daniel Muhr, Sr. age 61, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was born May 24, 1962 in Allentown, the son of Joseph and the late Rita (Takatsch) Muhr.


Dan graduated in the Class of 1980 from Whitehall High School. Dan was a self-employed contractor for many years at his business called “Dan’s Custom Remodeling.” He was a hard worker, loved to fish, and had quite the green thumb. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Copeechan Fish and Game Club. Dan was known to help anyone in need and will be lovingly remembered by his family and dog, Romeo. 


Dan is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Deborah (Rohrbach) Muhr of Slatington; father, Joseph W. Muhr II of Allentown; son, Daniel C. Muhr, Jr. and spouse, Nicole of NJ; Alexa Zuber and spouse Eric of Schnecksville; two granddaughters, Rylee Zuber and Olivia Muhr; two brothers, Joseph W. Muhr III and spouse, Lisa of Nanjemoy, MD and Peter Muhr of Newnan, GA; two sisters, Linda Warner and spouse, Richard of Allentown and Michelle Fillman and spouse Rick of Walnutport; and many nieces and nephews.
