Obituary

Lifetime Estacada resident, Dale Mofford, died at his home on Wednesday, October 21, 2020. He was 79. A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 21612 S. Clear Creek Road, Estacada, OR. Dale Oliver Mofford was born February 5, 1941 in Portland, Oregon to Frederick and Edith (Howke) Mofford. He was raised in the Estacada/Viola area. He attended Viola Grade School and Estacada Union High School. After high school, he entered into the US Army where he served most of his time in Alaska. He married Nancy Frost on November 21, 1964. They continued to live in Estacada. For most of his working career he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for Hessel Tractor, a John Deere Dealer, which later became Pape’. He worked there until his death. Dale enjoyed tractors, farming and being in the outdoors. Survivors include his son Michael Mofford; grandchildren Dillon, Skyler, Curtis and Briant Mofford. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy in 1991 and Son Brian in 2003. In lieu flowers contributions may be made to the Dale Mofford fund for FFA in care of Key Bank.
