Charlotte Walker
Monday September 27th, 1948 - Wednesday March 20th, 2024

 

Charlotte Diane Walker, 75, passed away March 20, 2024 in Nashville Tennessee. She was a 1966 graduate of Riverside High School. After graduation, moved to Cleveland, OH where she attended Case Western Reserve University. Charlotte worked for many years as an office administrator and retired from TVA. She also worked as an office administrator with Veteran Affairs for the state of Tennessee, retiring there as well. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Chattanooga Tennessee.

Charlotte enjoyed reading mystery and history books. She also took pride in keeping up with her high school classmates. She enjoyed watching television, especially Denzel Washington movies. Charlotte also enjoyed historical documentaries. Importantly, she loved her family and was one of the family's oral historian.

She was preceded in death by her father, Luther Walker, Jr; her mother, Norma Tatum; two brothers, Daniel Walker, and Oliver (Doris) Tatum, sister, Vanessa Walker and grandson, Bakari Walker.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her son, Shelton (Tameka) Walker of Nashville, Tennessee; granddaughter, Adjoa Walker and grandson, Amari Walker both of Nashville, Tennessee; brother, Stefon (Debbie) Tatum of Cane Hill, Arkansas; sister, Dorothy Walker of Cleveland, Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Publc viewing will be held 9:00 am - 12:00 pm Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the funeral home., followed by a 1:00 pm graveside service . Interment: Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
