Obituary
Charles Ernest Schillinger, 90, of Deltona, Florida passed away on February 6, 2024. He was born on October 2, 1933 in Akron, Ohio to Frederick and Bertha (née Sisler) Schillinger.
After high school, Charles joined the United States Air Force, and served in the Korean War. Once his service was over, he began working for AT&T in New York as a mechanic, before moving up into a technical repair position working on computers, printers, and other communication equipment. Charles was a jack of all trades, from being able to fix anything, to building anything, including his dining room furniture, and the dining room itself. In addition to being an excellent builder and repairman, he was also an avid golfer, and enjoyed many games on the green. Charles also loved to travel with his late wife, Irene.
Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Irene (née Frank) Schillinger; and his parents, Frederick and Bertha Schillinger.
He is survived by his children, Charles "Charlie" (Liz) Schillinger, Stephen (Anne) Schillinger, and Linda Spiegel; his seven grandchildren; his five great-grandchildren; his brothers, Michael and Stephen; and his sister, Rosalie.
A memorial service for Charles will be held at a future date and time.
