Obituary

Mr. Charles Willard “CW” Haney Sr., age 81, of Dobson, NC passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the SECU Hospice Center in Yadkinville, NC.  He was born in Surry County on April 14, 1942, to the late Arthur Seaton Haney and the late Edith Victoria Ball Haney.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Faye Burch Haney; sister, Dr. Johnny Haney Draughn.   He was a member of the Dobson United Methodist Church, lifetime member of Jubal Early Sons of Confederacy Camp 1961, member of Masonic Lodge Copeland 390 for 53 years, and a retired License Examiner for the State of North Carolina.  Surviving is his son, Charles Willard Haney II. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 25, 2024, in Skyline Memory Gardens by Copeland Masonic Lodge 390.  There will be no services held at the Funeral Home.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Haney family.
