Obituary

Longtime Colton resident, Charles H. Almond, died in his home on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 22, 2018. He was 95 A celebration of his life will be held 1:00 PM, Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Estacada Funeral Chapel. Charles Henderson Almond born in Stoddard Missouri September 24, 1923 Charles was one of five children born from Ora and Autie Almond of Bloomfield Missouri .Charles attended Bloomfield high school where he graduated with honors and was a proud member of the FFA . After graduation Charles joined the Army and served his country for two years receiving a theater ribbon along with medals of good conduct and victory. He then moved to the Pacific Northwest where he worked as a logger and farmhand. In 1977 Charles married the love of his life, Olive Mae Kreig “Suzie” where together, they made a home in Colton Oregon. They raised cattle, and had a Christmas tree farm. Sadly, Susie passed in 1990. Charles was fond of his dogs and took much pride in his farm, family and his Community. He will always be remember and loved.
