Obituary

Longtime Estacada resident, Bonnie Colton, died at her home with her family by her side on Sunday, September 29, 2019. She was 73. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Estacada Funeral Chapel with a procession to Logan Pleasant View Cemetery for concluding services and interment. Bonnie Jean Briscoe was born November 7, 1945 in Portland to Ervin and Marguerite (Penne) Briscoe. She was raised in the Redland area where she attended grade school and middle school. She graduated From Estacada High School in 1963. On December 21, 1963 she married Dwain Colton in Oregon City. They raised their family in Oregon City and Estacada. For most of her working career, she worked for The Education Service District for Multnomah County retiring in 1998. Bonnie enjoyed ceramics, sewing and had a green thumb. She had a great love of horses. Survivors include her husband Dwain; sons, Justin (Julie) Colton, Jared (Gina) Colton; brother, Terry Briscoe; and 4 grandchildren.
