Obituary

Estacada resident, Benjamin Cook died at a Portland hospital on July 2, 2019. He was 67. A celebration of his life will be held?? At Living Word Fellowship. A private family graveside will be held at Sandy Ridge Cemetery. Benjamin Earl Cook was born March 1, 1952 in Portland, Oregon to Ross and Lucille (Thayer) Cook. He was raised there. As a young man, he entered into the National Guard where he served 6 years from 1970 - 1976. On October 10, 1992 Ben married Sharon. They made their home in Gresham. For many years he worked as a machinist for Nabisco Kraft Foods. He retired on February 28, 2007. They moved to Estacada in 2006. Ben enjoyed hunting, learning how to farm and old cars. He is survived by his wife Sharon; sons Benjamin Cook, Chris Cook, Michael Cook; step-son, William Manes; step-daughter, Lindsey Sheridan; sisters, Laura Lee Cook, Linda Kuhn; brothers, Richard Brown, Raymond Brown, Berry Cook, Terry Cook; and 11 grandchildren.
