Obituary
Belle Ananth Shenoi, husband to Suman, father of Hemanth and Tara, passed away on April 19th, 2024 in Tampa, Florida at the age of 94.
He was born and educated in the state of Karnataka, India. He emigrated to the United States in 1956 and obtained an MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering at the University of Illinois. He married Suman in 1961 and they moved to Minnesota where they pursued their individual careers at the University of Minnesota and raised their children. The friendships they formed in Minnesota lasted a lifetime, which he cherished until the end. He was an accomplished educator and supported countless students during his life, as well as contributing significant advances to the field of Electrical Engineering Circuits and Systems.
He was a kind, engaging, smart man who left an impression on everyone he met and will be dearly missed. The family asks that he is remembered for the joy he brought to others in life, not the sadness of his passing. His legacy will live on in many of his personal and professional friends and students, and of course, his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by Suman (his loving wife of 63 years), his son Hemanth, Hemanth’s wife Debra, and their children Kanu, Priya and Kiran, and his daughter Tara, her husband Chris and their daughters Maya and Sophia.
