Anthony (Tony) Joseph Zizzo passed peacefully on the morning of December 5th where he was being looked after by his two sons and daughter-in-law. He was 90. Born to parents Thomas and Rosalia Zizzo (Sanfilippo), he is survived by sons Paul (wife Louise) and Thomas Zizzo along with daughter Rosalie McClung. He also had two grandchildren: Isabella Zizzo and Angelina McClung.
Son of Sicilian immigrants, Tony was the first member of his immediate family to be born in the United States. His parents and older siblings were all born in Sicily. The family settled in Milwaukee WI where Tony grew up. Shortly after being drafted to serve in the US Army, Tony was sent to fight in the Korean Conflict where he would stay until the cease fire in 1953. After coming home, Tony applied his math skills and got a degree in Mechanical Engineering then moved west with family to Southern California. While living in Pomona, Tony met his future wife Victoria, having gone to Disneyland for their first date. His engineering skills ultimately landed him a job at defense contractor Lockheed in silicon valley where he and Victoria settled and got married in Santa Clara in 1966. Thirty years later they would both move to Crescent City to enjoy retirement in their custom built dream home by the beach. Victoria passed in August of 2020.
Tony and Victoria were always together for 54 years, and will now be together forever in their retirement city by the ocean.
