Obituary

Anna Marie Westbrook, 94, passed away December 26, 2012. She was born in Brookings, Oregon on November 14, 1918, to John A. and Hilda C. Driskell who came to Brookings with Mr. Brookings to develop the lumber business.

Anna Marie graduated from Brookings High School with a class of 7 students. She then went to the University of Oregon where she graduated in 1938. She married the love of her life and best friend, Palmer Westbrook, in 1941. Together they successfully developed the Easter Lily Industry, raised beef cattle, and operated a dairy. Her greatest achievement was her family.

Anna Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Palmer. She is survived by her children, Julie Westbrook Violante, John Westbrook and wife Carolyn, Jennifer Westbrook Sullivan and husband Don, and Richard Westbrook and wife Nancy; her grandchildren Julie Anne Fawks and husband Brian, William Westbrook and wife Erika, Matthew Westbrook, and Sarajane Westbrook Violante; her great grandchildren Addison, Carter, and Ella.

Anna Maria requested her family celebrate her life with a private burial.
