Obituary

Longtime Estacada resident Ann Wagenius, died in Portland on Sunday, October 13, 2019. She was 79. A graveside service will be held, 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Redland Pioneer Cemetery followed by a celebration of her life at Noon at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church 9800 SE 92nd Ave, Happy Valley, OR. Ann Lois Swenson was born February 20, 1940 in Pine City, Minnesota to John and Relindis (Anderson) Swenson. She was raised in Rush City and graduated from Pine City High School in 1957. In 1957, Ann met the love of her life, Bob Wagenius, they married in 1959 and lived in the suburbs of Minneapolis from 1961 to 1968. They then moved to the Estacada area where they continued to raise their family. Ann worked at various nursing homes as an LPN for most of her working career. Ann enjoyed gardening, painting ceramics, and crossword puzzles. She was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Bob; daughters, LuWana Hansen, LinDis (Chuck) Sitzes; grandchildren, Tiffany (Brannon) Kelley, Sierra Sitzes, Katherine (Max) Robinson; and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson Michael (Stephanie) LaPlante in 2018.
