Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. (King James Version, Ecclesiastes 12:13)
Amber Christian Maxwell was born to Adrianne Jewel Maxwell on November 9, 1983 in Brooklyn, New York. Amber and Adrianne spent most of their time together as daughter /mother and best friends. They shared a mutually supportive relationship.
Amber had a special gift with people so much so, that her mom used to call her “the people whisperer”. Amber had an innate ability to hear, feel and understand what others were experiencing. With this gift she was able to touch lives in impactful ways. Many people including family members sensed Amber's gentle and genuine spirit. Although she was unassuming, Amber was attentive to what was being said and responded modestly in a well-informed manner as she educated herself on a variety of subjects. Amber had a way of making people feel that she really cared for them and that is because she did. Even in times of disagreement with tears in her eyes she apologetically and lovingly went the extra mile to let the other person understand she cared about them deeply.
Amber lived a quiet life of confidence which could be attributed to her trust in the Lord, a trust that seems to have been rooted in the early years of her life. Her mother recalls arriving home from work one day when the babysitter greeted her at the door with news that her two-and-a-half-year-old baby had accepted Christ as her savior. Considering Amber’s age, Adrianne received the news with a healthy measure of doubt. Over the years, Amber grew to know Jesus Christ in a very personal way. She studied the Word of God, shared her faith and, most importantly in her life she displayed love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Amber leaves behind family and friends who know with assurance that she is basking in the Joy of Her Lord!
