Nancy Lewis Harris

Mrs. Nancy Lewis Harris, 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 16, 2023. She was born on January 3, 1950, in Winston-Salem, NC. The daughter of the late Elmer “T” and Viola “Ola” Lewis. Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of Century Park Baptist Church in Kernersville, NC. Nancy was loved by many and will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Cooper. Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Frank Harris; her sons, Larry Dale Cooper, Jr. (Mitzi) and Daryl Wayne Cooper (Tammy); and three sisters, Dorothy Huneycutt (Russel Delo), Edna Levy (Louis) and Alice Avary (Robert). She is also survived by two grandchildren, Sarah and Anna Cooper; a great-grandchild, Charles Bowman; two stepchildren, Ginger Martin (Mike) and John Harris (Eve) and six step-great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, Samantha, Blake, Anna and Carson. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20. 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Terry Rausch officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 -2:00 prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Brenner Children’s Hospital, Winston-Salem, NC. The family also asks that instead of any food being provided, please donate to a food bank of your choice.
