Obituary
Mrs.
Molly Marie Thomas, 88 of Greenwood, IN, passed away peacefully in her sleep on
Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Molly
was born on January 31, 1936, in Mount Vernon, KY, a daughter of the late Hugh
and Jalia (Mink) Cromer.
In
her early years, she worked as a seamstress at the Rand McNally Company, where
she met the love of her life, Jack, her husband of 64 years. Molly was an
active member of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple for the past 59 years.
Molly
spent the best years of her life working as a home maker, she found great joy
cooking and hosting large and small family dinners. She was a very talented
self taught seamstress and was always creating clothing and hand made gifts for
her family and friends. She also loved spending time taking care of her yard
and was always finding something to do around the house.
Molly
is survived by her children, Karen (Lynn) Jackson, Douglas Thomas, Michael
Scott Thomas (partner, Lucas Capuzzo), and Kelly (Jerry) Adkins; her
grandchildren, Sean (Nicole) Jackson, Audrey Jackson, Ashley (Dan) Galle, Jared
(Becca) Adkins, Josiah (Maggie) Adkins; great grandchildren, Melina Jackson,
Xavier Jackson, Ariana Jackson, Levi Galle, Micaiah Galle, Magdalene Galle, and
Nathan Galle. She is also survived by her sister, Mable Prewitt and her brother
Ovie (Retha) Cromer along with a large number of nieces and nephews.
In
addition to her parents, Molly was preceded in death by her husband Jack
Thomas; her daughter Jackie Thomas; and her siblings, Rank, Fred, Pearl, Earl,
Rena and Jean.
Mom,
you will be missed by your loving children, grandchildren, great grandchildren,
nieces, nephews, cousins, and all of your friends. We love you Mom.
