Obituary
Juan Francisco Valdés, age 79, passed away on December 28, 2021, in Hialeah, Florida. Juan was born on May 24, 1942 in Sagua La Grande, Cuba, to parents Justiniano Ernesto Valdés and Petra Fredesvinda MartÍnez. On December 10, 1961 he was united in holy matrimony to Ángeles Hildegard Mesa MartÍnez. This union was blessed with five children. Ángeles precedes him in death on November 26, 2011.
He worked as a contractor. He enjoyed reading and listening to music. He loved spending time with his family and going to the keys fishing. In 2007 he cofounded Golden Mittens Montessori / DBA Discover Montessori School with his daughter Hildy.
Juan is survived by his five children: Yovhana (Valdés) De Castro, Ivonne Valdés Gonzalez, Hildegard Valdés Mesa, Juan Francisco Valdés Jr. and William Valdés and his siblings, Caridad (Valdés) Gómez and Cecilia Valdés Núñez, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Justiniano and Petra Valdés and siblings, Justiniano Humberto Valdés, Nestor Ernesto Valdés and Mercedes de los Ángeles Valdés.
Juan was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, father-in-law and friend. He cherished being the beloved Abuelo for the Montessori school family.
His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his family: Yovhana and Jorge, Ivonne and Eduardo, Hildegard and Leonardo, Juan Francisco Jr. and Natalia, William and Leidys and his eleven grandchildren: Lester, Cristina, Yovhana, Jorge, Meghan, Stephanie, Nichole, Yanelle, Victoria, Giselle and Brian. He cherished his great-grandchildren: Mila, Joel, Jade and Sophia.
His sincere, warm and nearly-constant smile enveloped everyone who came in contact with him and he seized every opportunity to make you smile in return… He will forever live in our hearts for his boundless generosity and the faith and family-based values he instilled in all of us and exemplified in life.

A visitation is scheduled for Juan on Thursday January 13, 2022 at Vista Memorial Gardens 14200 NW 57th Ave, Miami Lakes, FL 33014 from 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. Burial will be on January 14, 2022 at 9:30 A.M.
