Obituary

Edward Schiller age 85 died peacefully at home from complications from cancer and a stroke. He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Dianna, brothers Richard and John and many nieces and nephews.

Ed ran his own plumbing and heating and general contracting companies in New York for thirty years before retiring to Florida full time in 2014.

Ed love life and enjoyed hunting, fishing, clamming, crabbing, golf and skeet shooting. For him the best part of these actives was the friends he made along the way. His other great love was cooking. There wasn't a get together that did not request his stuffed clams.

For many years he gave his time and energy to the Mattituck Loins Club and served as it's President in 1981. A member of Islands End Golf Club Ed served not only on the board of directors but also as President. He enjoyed the comradery and completion in golf and continued in Florida at the Evergreen Club. Community service continued in Florida as he was active in his development's HOA serving multiple terms as president and most recently as a member of the landscaping committee.

He will be remembered for his love of the water, the love for his family and friends and his unshakeable sense of humor.

In lieu of flowers , donations may be made to Moffett Cancer Center, Tampa , Fl. or Treasure Coast Humane Society, Palm City, Fl.
