Obituary

Despina P Vouchides, age 96, Flushing, New York, departed on July 1st, 2024 while being surrounded by her brother, sister-in-law, and her niece.

Depsina was an exceptional physician, specializing in cardiology, for more than 50 years in New York City, Long Island, and the surrounding areas. She enjoyed working with the elderly. Despina was extremely proud of her Greek heritage and was very active in her church and in the Greek community. Her energy was never-ending. She absolutely loved to travel. She traveled to Greece and the world very often with her brother, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was very loving and generous.

Despina is survived by her brother, Peter Vouchides Sr, her sister-in-law, Daria Vouchides, her nephews Peter Vouchides Jr, Paul Vouchides, Panagiotis Vouchides, and Tony Vouchides, as well as her nieces, Olga Vouchides Georgi (Goddaughter), Olga Papadopoulos, and Vasiliki Vouchides.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, July 8th, 2024 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 129 N Halifax Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32118. Burial will follow at Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
