Obituary
Darvin (Bud) Ervin Davis III was born January 14, 1987 in Crescent City, CA. On March 1, 2012, he went to be with his creator. He was a lifelong resident of Del Norte County and his greatest joy in life was spending time with his son, Darvin Ervin Davis IV, who always did and always will have his heart. He enjoyed safety meetings, driving his truck, pitching, hunting, fishing, camping, swimming, bike riding, watching the Raiders, and being the boss. He was an enrolled Karuk Tribal member. He was an active member of the native community in Karuk and Yurok Territories. He was proud of his heritage and wanted his son to feel the same. They participated in many traditional activities together including playing sticks, canoe making, drum making, dancing during brush dances, and gill net fishing. He also encouraged his son to participate in sports such as wrestling, basketball, soccer, and was looking forward to baseball and football always there to coach him and cheer him on.He was employed at the Chartroom as a breakfast cook for six years where he worked with many friends. He started off as a dishwasher and quickly accelerated to morning cook. He was very proud to provide for his family always ensuring his son and sweetheart had a home. He is survived by his son Darvin Ervin Davis IV, his forever love Salena Norris, mother Sheila Davis, brothers Darren Davis and Dylan Davis, his sisters Tabatha Davis and Melissa Davis, and many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his Father Darvin Ervin Davis Jr., his grandpa Darvin, and his grandma Barbara.
A viewing will be held on March 8, 2012 from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Weirs Mortuary and services will follow on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 11:00am with a potluck to follow at Elk Valley Rancheria. Graveside services will be held on Sunday March 11, 2012 at 11:00am in Ti-Bar, CA where he will start his journey to join his Creator.
