Obituary
Joseph Campany, 89, of Ft Pierce, FL died, Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital.
He was born August 12, 1934, in Tupper Lake, NY, son of Ervin and Mary Campany. He and Joyce Marberry Ray were married March 19, 1979, in Sarasota, Florida.
Joe served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, receiving an honorable discharge.
He is a current member of The Crossings Church, and the local American Legion Chapter.
Joe and Joy owned the 19th Hole Restaraunt and formally managed the bar and restaurant at Wa-Noa Golf Course in Minoa, New York, retiring in 2002.
He is survived by his wife Joy Campany, two daughters, Lori Mitchell and Melanie (Dan) Lincoln of Bristol, CT; son Kirk (Gosia) Ray of Chesapeake, VA; and brother Ed (Patty) Campany of Ft. Pierce, FL; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Laura (Randy) Sparkman of Cape Gireadeau, MO.
Memorial gathering will be held on Friday, May 10, 9:30 a.m.; military honors and service, Pastor Craig Bridgers presiding, will follow beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home, 1950 20th Street, Vero Beach, FL.
Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 10, beginning at noon at Spanish Lakes Fairway Clubhouse.
