Obituary
Sherri Gentry, beloved daughter of Jerry Buckles and Nancy Buckles (Brewer), passed away on May 8, 2024, at the age of 58 in Selma, Indiana.
Born on October 28, 1965, in Muncie, Sherri was a vibrant soul known for her infectious laughter and boundless kindness. She graduated from Burris High School and found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in her hobbies of crocheting, fishing, and painting ceramics. She also loved to roller skate at Gibson’s Skating Rink. Sherri's creative spirit shone through in her handmade creations, which she lovingly shared with family and friends, leaving behind lasting memories of warmth and generosity.
Beyond her artistic pursuits, Sherri was a devoted caregiver to her mother, Nancy. Her selflessness and dedication were a testament to her loving nature, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Sherri's passing leaves a profound void in the lives of her family and friends, but her memory will be cherished and her legacy of love will endure. She will be remembered for her bright smile, compassionate spirit, and unwavering love for those around her.
She is survived by her loving mother, Nancy Buckles; her two sons, Tim Gentry (wife, Molli) and Travis Gentry; her brother, Clifton John Buckles & family; her sister, Teresa Ellen Friddle; and her three grandchildren, Sophi, Maggi, & Holden Gentry.
She is preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Larry Gentry; and her father, Jerry Buckles.
