Obituary
Olivia Hunley, Greenwood, IN, passed away on Saturday, May 11,
2024. She was 87 years old. Olivia was born in St. Charles, VA to her parents
Homer and Delia (Eversole) Proffitt. She earned her GED. Olivia married her husband, Charles Edward Hunley on March
31st, 1989 and they shared 15 years of marriage together until
Charles passed away on December 2, 2004.
Olivia had worked in the front office of Preston Safeway as well
as the Sears Credit Department and later worked in a credit department at
Indiana National Bank. Olivia along with her husband, Charles, was a member of
Emmanuel Church for many years. Olivia held onto her religious convictions
throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, decorating her
home, planting flowers in her yard, celebrating the holidays and shopping.
Olivia will be missed by those she leaves behind.
Olivia is survived by her children, Robert “Bob” Swickard Jr,
Michael Swickard, Kenneth Swickard, and Matthew Swickard and step daughter
Diane (Richard) Flucht; her grandchildren, Bobby (Melissa) Swickard, Brian
Swickard, Faith Swickard, Charles “Charlie” Swickard, Kiersten (Logan) Zile,
and Karli Swickard; her great grandchildren, Wyatt Swickard and Liam Browder;
her sister, Loretta Yost; her nieces and nephews, Steven Raines, Debbie Raines,
Joe Raines, David Raines, Kevin Yost, Billy Yost Jr, Donna Seacat, Pamela
Kenworthy, Alan Rogers, Eddie Rogers, Billy Proffitt, Danny Proffitt, Johnny
Proffitt, and Jennifer Proffitt.
Olivia is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles;
her siblings, Dorothy Raines, Paul Proffitt, Irene Seacat, and Thelma Rogers;
her niece, Faye Norfleet, and nephews James Seacat and Randall Rogers.
A visitation for Olivia will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at
Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will
follow, beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn
Memory Gardens at 2:00 pm.
