Obituary

Nancy Alta Lee, the beloved mother to three children, 89, of Ohatchee, Alabama, passed away in Gadsden, Alabama, on May 11, 2024. She was born in Cartersville, Georgia, on January 31, 1935, to Loy and Martie Reinhardt. She will be remembered for her artistic personality and her eagerness to share her crafts. She was a true hippie and could do everything from weaving baskets and dish rags to knitting scarves. Her beloved husband of 65 years, Larry E. Lee, her youngest son, Scott Lee, and her parents preceded her in death. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when needed. Her children, Dana (Chuck) Medders, Nancy Lee, and Richard Lee, were her pride and joy. She expressed her pride in them often. In 1985, she became a grandmother. She was elated and enjoyed them immensely. Scott Medders (Ginger), Matt Medders (Lisa), Carole Ann Humphries (Garason), Laura Lee Woodsmall, Tatum Lee, and Cruze Kaiser. She had many friends, a well-loved little sister, Carolyn Strickland, and a sister-in-law, Pauline Lee. As per her wishes, there will not be a funeral service. Instead, her ashes will be scattered with her son, Scott, and her beloved husband, Larry.
