Lesley Ann Massey, 54 of Tampa, Florida, went on to be with the Lord on May 2, 2024 due to several medical complications.
She is survived by the love of her life, her fiancé, Joseph Yancey, her brother, Ronald L. Massey and sister in law, Paige R. Massey and their children Seth Massey and Crystal Baxter and great nephews Logan and Lucas Baxter. She is also survived by brother Donald Massey and his wife Susan Massey along with their children, Steven Massey and Sarah Bowling and great nephew and niece Liam and Brooks Bowling. She is also survived by her two dogs, Sneakers and Rocky, whom she rescued and loved dearly. Lesley is pre-deceased by her father, Billy Donald Massey and mother Elizabeth Ann Massey .
Lesley was born in New Mexico while her father was finishing up a 23 year career in the Air Force. Her mother was from London, England. Shortly, after her father retired he moved their family to Fairburn, Georgia.
Lesley attended DeVry University and moved to Tampa in her twenties. Following her passion for music, she started a karaoke business. Eventually, she went on to work at Verizon where she was promoted to Support Care Specialist to handle “last resort “ customer calls at the service center. She loved live music and going to concerts and always enjoyed sharing her experiences. She was the kind of friend who was there when things were good, but more importantly when things were down. She was there to support and inspire others in all situations. Lesley loved her family. Being eight hours away for her was tough, but she always made the effort to stay in touch. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Sunday, May 19th from 2-3pm with a memorial service beginning at 3pm at Serenity Meadows, 6919 Providence Road, Riverview FL 33578.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
