Obituary
Kathleen Louise Evans, age 83, passed away on May 6, 2024.
She was born on October 30, 1940, in Akron, to Forest Hunter and Catherine Matilda Harouff.
Kathleen graduated from East High School in Akron and then went to officer training school for the Salvation Army in New York. She worked as a secretary at Harter Bank, Goodyear and as a medical assistant. Kathleen also worked at Akron City Hospital.
Kathleen was a member of Women’s Ministry Group. She enjoyed sewing and shopping. Kathleen also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jerry (Jamie) Evans Jr., Kenneth Evans, and Theodore Evans; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marlene.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Lee Evans Sr., whom she married June 23, 1962; and her three brothers.
A visitation will be held at Marlboro Christian Church on Thursday May 16th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and on Friday May 17th from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron.
