Obituary

Stanley S. Gesto, Jr., 84, of New Carlisle, entered into eternal rest on May 12, 2022. He was born on May 20, 1937 to the late Stanley and Donnabelle (Staten) Gesto in Mishawaka, IN. Stanley enjoyed fishing, golfing, and working on home projects. He loved his cats and dogs and being around his family brought him a lot of joy in life. Stanley retired in 2000 from Bethlehem Steel after working there for over 30 years as a metallurgist.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou (Bare) Gesto; and grandson, Drew Krauter.

Stanley is survived by his daughter, Laura (Gesto) Krauter; granddaughter, Peggy Krauter; great grandchildren, Kirstin Krauter, Desmond Krauter, and Lauryn Grover.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home,10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN 46561. Burial will be held privately in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the South Bend Animal Resource Center or to Pet Refuge, Inc.
