Linda "Sue" Walters
(April 22, 1944 - April 27, 2022)
Linda "Sue" Walters, 78, slipped peacefully into the arms of the Lord Wednesday April 27, 2022. Sue was born April 22, 1944 in Muncie, IN and was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Muncie Central High School. She enjoyed her work, from Merchants Bank, to owning a restaurant, to owning a concessions business at AMVETS Bingo. She retired from Hoosier Park after 12 years as Director of Admissions.
The great love of her life was her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and loved nothing as much as being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert M. and Evalyn Fields Cary, and brother Robert A. Fields.
She is survived by her son David (Lisa) Walters, Jr., daughter Sandra Walters, son Steven (Mary) Walters, brother Bradford (Becky) Fields, nephew Alec Fields, sister-in-law Libby Fields, grandchildren Jacob (Anna) Walters, Zachary Walters, Michael Walters, Jessica Walters, great granddaughter Eliana Walters.
Calling will be on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. St. Rd. 3, Muncie, Indiana 47303. Service will be at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
